Lift Off

So – I honestly did not know what to expect this week. After over a year of solitude we have lift off. Back to life back to reality. I truly forgot how much executive organization and time-management are necessary to simply leave the house.

• Backpack – check ✓
• Lunchbox – check ✓
• Ballet bag – check ✓
• Flute – check ✓
• Snacks – check ✓
• Mask -check ✓

My car reverted to a mobile home and I am surrounded by stuff but I am sooo happy! My heart is full from seeing so many young smiling faces heard of off to class. I did not know how our daughter would manage this new reality but she literally flipped us off and asked us in her direct way to not walk her to class. It was priceless. My husband and I held hands and walked away. Another ASD win- independence.

We still have many items to check off to help her navigate her school environment- but it is beautiful to see what leadership really looks like.
I believe we have lift off!
