Love is all there is

I think I mentioned this before but my husband and I have been friends and partners for 31 years. It is amazing how fast time goes. We look up and decades have gone by.

Neither one of us knew of course what we were getting into. We knew we loved each other, we knew we had similar interests for our professional lives, and we knew we wanted to make a difference. I am very grateful for my partner.

Usually we celebrate by getting away during this time but this year we couldn’t because our daughter was and is our priority. That is what it means to be a parent and more so with a child on the spectrum.

I am grateful that our values remain intact however I could not let time go by without saying that partnership matters. Whomever you love-let them now. Let them in-particularly when you’re having a bad time. It is important to let them in. Every day does not have to be a good day- but love is all there is!
