My web content specialist shared a very special story with me. It was about a police officer who took time with a young autistic girl to make her feel comfortable during a trying event.
As our child becomes a teenager our family constantly debates how she will integrate into the world and who will empathize with her. Our teenager navigates well for the most part now – BUT when we our out of routine-it is still pretty challenging.
The officer I referenced demonstrated best practices and offered a lesson in PUBLIC SERVICE and CHARACTER. There are so many ways we can help each other but the best way is simply by being kind. Good vibes ALL around!
