Music to my Ears

Music to my Ears

I met Candi the Violinist last year. We immediately hit it off. She is gentle, creative and passionate about people. My kind of human being! When I first heard her play I could not believe how talented she was. I knew then that I would ask her to perform at our daughter’s birthday bash.

As the saying goes- music soothes the soul -and the right music can CHANGE your communication. Candi does this. She plays all types of genres in a way that impacts your spirit.

When are daughter was young her occupational therapist at All Children’s Hospital suggested we start music therapy to help our daughter adjust to noise. It was truly difficult back then. We lived in silence for the most part and we generally still do. BUT music therapy changed our daughter’s life.

After completing the therapy she was able to self-select what music she could tolerate. We learned that jazz was purposely disorganized and classical was rhythmic. We questioned why we could listen to gospel and some pop but not rock or blues. Our daughter clearly identified her preferences and we saw a different part of her soul.

Candi does that for people. She opens window and taps into joy. I love meeting people who care and show the world who they really are. Music to my ears!
