Friendship is Fuel for the Soul
This is my St. Pete Crew! I can’t believe that we are raising our children together for the past 20+ years. When I came down to Saint Petersburg I did not know where I was. It was this odd village that had many silos and as a new young mom, an only child married to an only child, I felt isolated and forced into adulthood. Where was the village?? Then I met these angels.
Some of my angels are no longer with us. We lost them along the way. Some are not pictured here-they moved out of the area. BUT for nearly three decades our sisterhood made a purposeful effort to be here for one another.
I am the youngest one of the group and they cannot stand it when I say that BUT I love saying it. Of course, I am not so young anymore, and while I have always appreciated them, I have a better understanding of what it means to have TRUE sisters.
Life is about love and connection. I am grateful for these women who always remind me that the village is nearby.
