A time for Thanksgiving

A time for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is always a time of reflection right. It is a time to gather with family and friends and celebrate life. Like most families our family focuses on the positive and we share our gratitude with each other.

I don’t know about you but I’m particularly grateful this year. Last year we could not get together. We could not touch, hug or have those intimate moments we are accustomed to. Many families lost love ones to Covid. Others experience extreme isolation because of Covid. We have all had setbacks but as a wise woman once told me sometimes setbacks are set up for success.

I feel extremely optimistic this holiday season. After sadness most people experience hope. It is my hope that we share love. Our daughter did something exceptional this holiday season. After two years she agreed to get on a plane to see our family for Thanksgiving. It was a trying time to get her there but it meant so much to us. Family is like ours need these moments of true Thanksgiving!

Whatever your traditions are celebrate them – because we now collectively understand that these moments are fleeting. It is time for thanksgiving.
