People often ask what is the hardest part about raising a person on the spectrum and I have never waivered with my response- TIME! You always feel time is against you when you live with someone with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

  • Did you do enough for your child in that minute?

  • Did you advocate properly?

  • Have you responded to everyone who always seems to ask questions?

  • Most importantly have you cared for yourself?

My husband and I have brief moments where we are both present, alone and completely at peace. This was one of them!

It was just a lovely private moment that reminded us that all is well.
