Love never fails

Last month my husband and I celebrated 30 years of marriage. I look back and think about our journey pre and post bringing our daughter with autism spectrum disorder into the world. I think about our challenging discussions on the diagnosis, how our lives would change, the fiscal and emotional impact, and the importance of work/life balance and preserving our family unit for our older daughter and for us. Millions of families have challenging discussions after their lives change because of loving someone on the Spectrum. I am grateful that my husband and I took the time to continue our friendship, our partnership, and to nourish our relationship while supporting our family. Love never fails.
