I attended Spelman College at a transitional time in our country. Before cell phones, before widespread communication, before the ability to SEE the world. YET- Spelman is the same college that my older daughter and now daughter on the Spectrum is experiencing. I am so grateful for the safe space my daughter has been able to experience. There is no magic formula for supporting a person on the spectrum. What is needed is acceptance and tolerance. Spelman provides a place for everyone and it is a place where you LEARN how to change the world!!
