Our daughter is home from college and I am reminded that life at home is so much different than life with young people. Our home is very quiet and settled. College is full of energy. Seeing her in both environments is encouraging but sometimes it is hard to explain what adults do with their unstructured time.

This week our daughter decided to reach out to an old friend. The joy on her face was genuine. Sometimes you just need one friend to help you realize that life happens in the little moments. We all just need “A” friend from time to time.
