Defining my role
I was talking to a friend who shared that she likely earned an additional PhD advocating for her son. She single-handedly created opportunities where there were none- and most importantly SHE is still advocating.
Without researching I am confident that many parents share my friend’s journey. And so do I.
For the past 12 years I have been preparing myself to help others in a different way than I did as an attorney. However, when asked I have had a difficult time defining what I do in this space. So hear it goes- I AM an…
Educational advocate – Supporting parents, professionals and families living with ASD.
My role – to ease the process for everyday parents who need support. I want to be a conduit for those who need information and access to education and an advocate for
vocational support and community resources.
