Every year matters!
So my birthday is this coming Monday. This year I am privileged to share it with Martin Luther King-at least a celebration. Like many people I have been contemplating what life means. Last year I was so grateful God granted me 50 years, particularly amid a year of significant loss.
2021 continued to be the year of perseverance and patience -however I am still counting my blessings.
I was granted another year to GIVE back to the earth.
Another year to try to make a difference in the world.
AND another year to STRIVE to be my best self.
As I was cleaning up for the new year I ran across some old poster cards with quoted by MLK.
“Courage faces fear and thereby masters it. Cowardice represses fear and is thereby mastered by it.
Courageous men never lose the zest for living even though their life situation is zestless, cowardly men, overwhelmed by the uncertainties of life, lose the world to live. We must constantly build dykes of courage to hold back the flood of fear. Raven Martin Luther King Jr.
