Strange but this year was my first Valentine’s Day without both of my daughters. My girls love holidays any holidays. They love the opportunity to get gifts. I have played into this for a long time so of course it’s my fault, but I was feeling weird about not having to go all out. Just when I was starting to debate about what to get from my hubby since this was no longer a family holiday. My daughter on the spectrum asked about love and what it looks like when you leave your family. It was a beautiful question and one I truly could not answer, but told her Love always finds a way. To all of the young people with ASD, trying to figure this out happy Valentine’s Day and know that you are loved!
