Legend

Legend

Last week our family had the opportunity to meet our aunt’s education peers. It was surreal! Our aunt, was the first female African American Superintendent in St. Paul, Minnesota. While it was some time ago her colleagues came out to remember what they described as a LEGEND. It was beautiful to hear them describe her emphasis on instructional education and leadership. She had a dynamic pedagogy that focused on children first.

Many of the leaders in the room stated they were stronger leaders and educators because of her guidance.

It is a difficult time for educators but what should be clear is we owe our children- ALL children our best. Our aunt loved learning and sharing that love with our brightest stars.

THANK YOU to the many educators who sacrifice so much to invest in our most precious assets- OUR CHILDREN~
