Life Is Good!
So this year is an exceptional milestone year for me as well as many of my dearest friends. We are reaching our 50th year of life. I have the opportunity to end the year with one of my oldest friends who is the first in my crew to turn 50. At first with so much going on she was hesitant to celebrate-truthfully I think we all were. But gradually as we made the decision to have a COVID specific gathering we knew we made the right decision. I haven’t smiled and cried and relaxed the way I did that weekend in quite sometime. The joy of fellowship with those who know you best, know your heart, were a part of your story gives you comfort beyond words.
For families with ASD- maintaining normalcy is paramount to maintaining health. We need to commit more to our friendship circle and to reconnecting when we can. Covid taught us that life is fragile. When you have the opportunity to live- you must. I asked a close friend how he was doing considering Covid. His response was so pure.
Life is good considering how crazy things are. I concur!
