So, I have a new appreciation for all the work my older daughter did. Truthfully, she is brilliant and needed little encouragement. In fact, we told our older daughter to dial it back and enjoy her time more. Well fast forward -this kid, excuse me firm teenager-since we are not allowed to call her a kid anymore-is not as enthused to work ahead and in fact loves hitting that deadline!
It is true that persons on the spectrum struggle with executive organizing but sometimes parents simply forget that they are just teens. AND like all other teens they just want to finish! 80 more days to go!
