Sleep

Sleep

My family has issues with sleep. I do not – well I do because I blame their sleeplessness for mine. We have tried every best practice.

  • Hot baths
  • Lavendar scrubs
  • Aromatherapy
  • Massages
  • White noise
  • Black out curtains
  • Melatonin and
  • Reading time

But still no relief. At some point I caved and decided that I am going to bed. But I wanted to have an explanation as to why it’s so challenging for persons with ASD to fall and stay asleep. The article below shed some light on this. I have not spoken to any family who has come up with a meaningful solution to this issue. What I can say is that if the person tasked the most does not get any rest -there is no peace. Sleep!
