The Year of Jordan!
Wow-24 years ago I gave birth to an energetic bundle of joy who is determined to take over the world even at her first breath. People still don’t believe my story of how she came into the world. As a first time mother it was anticipated that it would take some time for me to deliver. However my daughter Jordan “Chloë” Jackson broke all the rules! She came early, my water broke, my labor pains came in quadruplets and by the time the doctor showed up it was literally 45 minutes before she entered the world. Truly a quick birth. Jordan “Chloë” means rapidly blooming. She is named after her great uncle who she did not have enough time on this earth with but who embodied a person of tremendous integrity and character.
So this year was the year of Jordan. Her 23rd year in Chicago where the original Jordan reigned. This year my daughter navigated Chicago, a PhD program at a top-notch school, northwestern, earned a 3.9 while doing it and managed to hold down several jobs and enjoy life. Thank you Harry Styles and Taylor Swift for making my daughter work overtime! She moved into her first place on her own and has a wonderful start to her next year in Chicago. My family and I cannot say enough how PROUD we are of Jordan “Chloë”! She is a fighter, she is a survivor, she is creative, she is kind and compassionate, she is a force. Happiest of all birthdays my love! May God continue to shine his grace upon you.
