Time to Gather
Like many families we are grateful to return to some level of normalcy. This year we returned to my home town- Chicago. I think we take for granted what home feels like. As we landed into Midway Airport the familiarity was comforting. We have flown in and out of this airport too many times to count- however this time was different. My senses were on fire and the environment seemed more vibrant.
Since we have now lived in Florida for 25 years,
Chicago is no longer my only home – it is now our older daughter’s new home.
When we think about her adventure we ALL just smile! It was such a journey to support her through college and now as a Ph.D candidate we realize we are coming to see our GROWN daughter in her world on her terms.
It is a good feeling and we had a beautiful day.
