I took a little time to travel to Chicago to see my older daughter this week. I simply cannot believe she is 25 years old. She is “adulting” quite nicely.
Going to school ☑
Has a job ☑
Has an apartment ☑
Has command of her own transportation ☑
In sum our daughter is entering that space where you have to be a little more honest about life, challenges and balancing responsibilities. It is time for us to ask her how she wants to assist her younger sister and/or grandmother if it all. My husband and I know the challenges of balancing both worlds. You never want to burden relatives but you do have to have the TALK to manage expectations for everyone. I am grateful we raised an incredible tough, brilliant.
