Some of us are well into school now. For our family we are six weeks in and it does not seem to get any easier. The flow of the work is better but it is a lot. I am sure any student has challenges balancing the many emails, google classroom notifications, zoom links and homework schedule required in a given week. As with other issues, the Autistic child has many more executive organizational obstacles which significantly impact learning. Our leaders have many important decisions ahead of them. They have to pave the way for innovation, and creativity while providing safe educational environments for EVERYONE
We are in an election year and our choice for respective school board members is crucial at this time. Please do your research! Our community has held exceptional debates for these future leaders. Please review the debates from Tiger Bay, League of Women Voters, the Carter G Woodson African American Museum and the Institute for Strategic Policy Solutions and let our community know that educators and advocates matter.
