Rejection and Standing Firm

Part of life is rejection and standing firm. Our daughter is the definition of resilience. Every time I think about the challenges she experiences on a day to day basis I am reminded of what I used to say when she was a little girl. So here it goes.

It is like she is a foreigner in our land. She can take the train, find a restaurant, go to school work- well you know activities of daily life. BUT she does not speak the language.

How ironic that someone who deals with rejection sometimes on a daily basis decides to enter into the acting profession. When I asked her how she plans to deal with this sometimes challenging part of being an actress, she simply said rejection and standing firm as a part of the process.
Truer words have never been spoken!
