Thank you Grandmama

We often talk about how ASD impacts the child and the immediate family but we rarely talk about the extended family. My mother diagnosed my daughter with Autism. I remember how nervous she was to tell me. She in fact told all of my fiends before she told me to prepare them to support me. But there was no need. I trusted her. I knew her words would change our lives. Not just my daughter’s but hers and mine.

We have a bond greater than most and I know she felt the stress of what was to come but as always she was and has been amazing.

Thank you Grandmama!
